Mino Ware 美濃焼

Kigoromo (絹衣, "silk-draped garment") takes its name from the way the glaze sits on the body: a soft, matte finish that reads as neither fully white nor fully grey, shifting with light the way cloth does. Produced in Mizunami, Gifu as part of Kanesuzu's century-long tradition of professional tableware, each piece carries enough visual restraint to work equally well under a kaiseki course or a contemporary fine dining plate.
